Monday - Week 2

The team and our volunteers are enthused by the results coming from our focused sondages - or sub-trenches - where we are targeting specific areas of the site to investigate individual features.  In particular, our section through Thief's Lane is revealing a complex build-up of surfaces with underlying features at both ends, one of which contained a substantial amount of Medieval pottery.

We are so grateful for the continued interest of the community in the project - all are welcome to visit for a tour of the site or to get involved!  There's plenty of cataloguing to do on the mounting collection of artefacts, for those who may prefer lighter work.
